The beautiful balance of soothing and excitement you can find in the sounds of Ela Minus will keep you in nirvana for hours on end. The Colombia-born, Brooklyn-based beatsmith started her journey as a drummer in a punk band named Ratón Pérez. After studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, she turned to electronic music, immersing herself in the improvisational jazz and techno scene. In her most recent “Acts of Rebellion”, Ela challenged herself to create the project without using a single computer-generated sound.

Helping her along with her task was the Elektron Analog Rytm. The high performing hybrid drum machine combines percussion-focused analogue circuitry along with sample playback. It also includes a well-selected combination of analogue and digital effects. The sequencer is smooth to use and leads to great compensitions effortlessly. The Analog Rytm is a great choice for the analog hardware programmer.
